April 17

Forgive me, this blogspot page has decided to "make things better" or make my life hard.  Whichever you want to call it.  So, this is a griddle.  It lives at Wendy's.  We haven't used it since Kevin moved so I pass it to the next person.   While it is a little dirty in the picture, those are sunbeams coming in the window.

April 16

I actually got rid of this on Saturday (mentally, not physically).  It actually has been in my trunk since then because i don't want Scott to see it and think we need it.  This is a rotisserie chicken machine.  Scott's old bandmate Mike's lady friend made us take it.  It came with all the fixin's and I don;t want it.  We have no counter space as it is.  And I would be the only one to ever clean it, so no.  Your little machine cannot come to live here.  It has been in the basement for about a year so I facebooked that shit and Jen will give it a good home.  Supposedly.  She sure is being difficult in regards to meeting up for a trade off or a drop off.  She has until Sunday and then it goes to the next bidder.

April 13th- FRIDAY (and 14 and 15)

So yeah, i have backtracked a touch.  I DID get rid of some stuff but not enough.  As you can see, i had some sort of brooch and a belt buckle.  Both were gifts.  The skull buckle came from the other Lori and I never wore it so its outta here.  The purse was awesome but i think it needs to go.  It is a real Hobo brand bag and is very nice but a little scuffled and needs a good inside cleaning.  Ashley gave it to me and she is awesome, but i do not need the bag anymore.  If anyone wants the bag let me know or it goes to the Avondale thrift store that gives its proceeds to animal organizations.

lady bug april 12

This metal lady bug was from Lakewood antiques. I have no idea why I bought it except that I probably couldn't afford anything else. You are supposed to hang it on a tree or something. I decided to hang it on the trash can handle. It wasn't still there after the trash men came so I guess they took it or they tossed it.
I have included a picture of it on Eggroll's back. She hated it.

April 11- a box and some bottoms

First, a box. Yep, just a cardboard box. "But i might need it!" I always think. Nope, this box has seen better days. And once the business cards were used up nothing ever moved in. For like a year this box has haunted me. and now it will be recycled into lots of boxes. or something. Who cares, it was dumb.

Because that box seemed insignificant, i have also gotten rid of some bathing suit bottoms. There comes a time in most women's lives where they need to accept that they can't wear bikinis anymore. Sigh...

April 10- one fitted sheet

Dog wrestling. It ruins my things. This was a sheet we had. The dogs tore it. Usually i would sew it up and hold on and suck whatever life i could out of an object. But I hate flannel. With dogs it is like fur velcro. I would need to wash the sheets every other day if the fur bothered me as much as it does most people. Instead I tore this thing off the bed and got rid of it. looking back i should have donated it to one of the animal rescues but it is too late. Oh well.

This doesn't count

Eggroll is doing some major decluttering. Unfortunately she is doing it all over the house. She sheds like a blizzard of fur. This is a small pile from pulling the loose chunks out. Sigh...time to sweep again.

Furminators are awesome by the way! Oh, and as you can see i have a lot of clutter still to move out!

Another batch of scott's boxers

No, he isn't being forced to go commando. He just prefers a boxer brief so why are we keeping 100 pairs of boxers around?

April 1-8

I'm counting this for the whole week because it was a good haul. I don;t even have pics of some of the crap i got rid of. These are some highlights though.

I got rid of about 7 long sleeves button down type shirts. They are either too small, too dumb, or too ugly these days.

In the bottom of the closet were some old shoes. I can not believe these have been on my feet in the past 11 years but they must have if they are in my house. Right? Hideous. I found these ugly huge sketchers and 3 pairs of flip flops. Well, make that 2 pairs of flip flops and 2 individual flops. Can I add that they are ALL hideous and I know this so don't bother telling me.

I found all kinds of broken items, dog toys and trash deep in the bowels of the closet as well. 2 noteworthy items were the water gun and the surf board lighter.

Backsliding

Sometimes a person doesn't mind their own rules. Well, recently my friend Chris and I went on an adventure. Very close to where we live is something called the Old Atlanta Prison Farm. I would give you some facts and background but I don't know a lot of it. I DO knowwatered down stuff like it was around forever and then it burned.

So, what does this have to do with throwing things away you may ask. Well, Chris and I wandered all over the southern part of the grounds. Then when we exhausted that area we wondered what was in the non-burned part. So we infiltrated We had to scale a 6 foot fence. Not really but that sounds good. So we got into the fence and there's a house and a prisoner check in area. The house was inhabited not too long ago by squatters and if you are ever homeless, this place is the place to check out. Why? Well, because the electricity is ON! We went next door to the check in building and they had hundreds of envelopes that once held the items taken away when the prisoner is booked. Watches, money, rings, wallets, eye drops. Yep, one envelope said eye drops. And of course i took home a handful of these bad boys. I don't know why except they were cool.
In another part of the building were pallets of old used books and crap books. I found a huge stack of old 80's metal booklets. Of course those came home with me too.
WHY?! WHY CAN'T I LEAVE IT THERE?!!!!!!
