Oct 17-21 clothing and fabrics

 An orange shirt!  I got this for 2 bucks at a yard sale.  It has alwasy laid funny in the shoulders and well, its outta here!  Thift store baby.  Then 3 more bras.  The underwear is taking a hit this week!  Thats okay, I have way too much.  I must have 12 bras hanging on the doorknob of the closet.  yep, I am CLASSY!  Last is a pile of these dumb scrap things from back when i worked at Smith Dalia and saved a bunch of shit from being thrown away immediately. 

What you have not seen is the massive pile of fabric that is building on my front porch.  I am culling out all of the shit fabric that I do not wish to keep.  I may try my hand at braided rugs with some of it.  You will see.

Oct 16- bat box!

So it is october, perfect for spooky stuff.  This has never yielded bats.  Helen might have bats!  So I gave it to her.  Actually i probably have 1000 bats and just don't know it because i am distracted by all the rats.

Oct 14-15- pumpkin stuff

 Tonight I carved this giant pumpkin.  Yes, this post is almost the same as my other blog, but the main thing to know is that I dug out this roll of contact paper to be my paper under the giant pumpkin.  It must be 10 years old because i have never seen it in my life.  The paper, not the pumpkin.  The pumpkin i just got today from my boss.  Item #2 is a candle i found in a drawer.  I look forward to burning the rest of them for credit as well. 

Not too bad for the third real pumpkin i have ever carved!  Oh, and the guts are all in the yard as compost.  No waste if not necessary!

October 13- undergarments redeux

 Sigh...just after that last post i freaked out and went to the mall.  I ended up getting 3 bras and 3 pairs of underwear.  I have in return gotten rid of 2 bras and like 5 pairs of underwear (one is really a pirate bathing suit short type cover up thing for girls with fat butts. But, it counts as an item. 

Oct 12- foundation garments

The other day I threw away a busted old pair of undies.  No pics, sorry.  So this past weekend i went wedding dress shopping and i knew people would see my underwear.  I looked for a nice presentable neutral.  None.  I looks for a nice crisp new pair of pink or white.  Nope, I didn't have any.  what I DO have is about 100 pairs of ratty old underwear.  Once upon a time I had lots of underwear with the tags still on but these days it is looking worn out.  So then I tried to find a proper brassiere for trying on a wedding dress.  almost everyone gasped when I told them I didn't own a strapless bra.  Like the whole city gasped, not just my 4 friends going with me for dresses.  I've never needed one AND they suck.  And guess what, I still plan to wear one strap with the dress i got so THERE!  Anyway, I found lots of old bras.  We hang on to them because "we might need them".  Well, I have my eye on both drawers of those foundation garments and pretty soon they will get the ax! 

Oct 10-11 Shhhh...rock band and a monitor

 We had these things up in the attic and they were annoying me.  Not only do we not have a playstation, we also dont have the rest of the parts so it would be a really lame set up if we did have playstation.  I blame Scott for not thinking it through.  Anyway, they are gone.

The monitor was a spur of the moment item. I yelled for scott to open the door downstairs and he was like "what are you throwing out?!" like i would trash something valuable like his guitar hero or something. ( Shhhh, he doesn't know.)  Once he saw the monitor he was like "oh, yeah, that needs to go."

Luckily in my neighborhood you can put almost any item by the street and it will disappear.  Its like easy recycling.  We have many scavengers always on the lookout for treasure or scraps.

Oct 7-9 artwork

 I got rid of stacks and stacks of old artwork that is really ugly.  Yeah, some of it is decent but it can either get eaten by mice or it can go in the trash.  I choose trash.  Oh, and the last picture is of the tiny house.  There are 2 nude figure drawings pinned to the door.  It was like a surprise for the new renters.

oct 5-6

So I just had 2 friends come and look at random fabrics i am getting rid of.  I got rid of 2 kitchen size trashbags of fllece, felt, fur and other random fabrics i dont have room for in my life!  Woohoo!  Sorry no pics yet.

Oct 1-4 puzzles and fabrics

 Angee's yardsale was this past weekend and I grabbed a few items for it real quick.  I ended up giving her 2 puzzles and a bunch of fabric among the items previously posted.  It was not a huge success but I blame the layout.  They had a lot of signs but they needed more.  Plus the itesm were mostly in the carport and you really need them down by the street i think.  Yardsales are tricky! 

Oct 1 2 frame movie posters

Yes those are hula hoops back there.  Anyway, i have these (had, I had) framed posters.  I snagged these from the basement of Fellinis years ago.  Well, time has come for them to move on.  I gave them to the new renters of the tiny house because they have almost nothing coming into their new home.

9-27 to 9-30

 Things have continued to proceed at casa de lori.  I have trashed the Claremont Calendar from about 6 years ago.  I should know exactly when it is from but i only took one sample photo and the date isnt on there. 

 I got rid of ALL of my notes from college.  All of them.  Even the cool ones from Dr. Blakely's class.  It was about 2 plastic bins of paper.

 I got rid of a grody fur coat leftover from a costume and cover in rat shit.  It smelled like death.  GROSS!!!!!

lastly, these dumb little traps don;t work.  you think they are great because you dont have to see their dead little faces but really they suck.  Stick with the wood traps or glue traps.  And when your dog gets into the glue trap, know that olive oil gets it off easily.
